I'm going to be honest with you: I haven't been reading much this year. Based on things I've been reading on social media, it seems as though I'm not alone in this. The COVID-19 pandemic has made so many of us more anxious than usual, and it can be difficult to shut your brain off and get lost in a book, even though that escape can be exactly what we need right now!
hello! i am alive! sorry for the unexpected hiatus (again). i'm going to try to get better about weekly posts, or at least monthly. maybe it will help motivate me to write more often, too. since september, i have finished another 2 semesters of grad school (!!). i'm 1.5 years into a 3 year program.… Continue reading hello world! a return from hiatus
It's been 13 days since the PitchWars submission window first opened and, if you're anything like me, you're feeling the anticipation. Well then. It's been a hot minute, hasn't it? Thankfully, this summer has been much better than 2017, so I've been busy in a good way since my last post! In May, I took a trip with my family to Yellowstone, which was amazing and relaxing (well, minus the 32 hour drive there and back!).… Continue reading hello darkness my old friend…
It took me a little while to figure out what to write about this week. Work and school have been keeping me too busy to work on my book much (boo), and I haven't read a new ARC yet. So here's a short update about what I'll be doing next! I just finished reading Screenwriting for… Continue reading What’s Next For Me
Hello! Long time, no post 🙂 Well, in personal updates, anyway. I'm trying to be better about keeping up this blog. Maybe, if I post once a week, it'll keep me motivated to actually get things done! The last you heard from me, I was entering PitchWars. I wasn't chosen as a mentor, but I… Continue reading Revision Update: IN THE SHADOW OF THE NECROPOLIS
